problem is not lcd display light and keypad light also not getting on
lighten.it is common fault of lcd pin 2 and 3.in diagram given bellow
you can find these two lines with color so make jumper as shown in
diagram.
on lcd prints strip can be scratched vary carefully and slightly so that
it can be sold easily and then you can make jumper as i told above.
